Fitness Focus
Teacher of the Month
This month's Teacher Fitness Focus looks at our administrators, Mrs. Brockman and Mr. Hanson.
Why do you think it is important to stay active?
Mrs. Brockman -
I think it is important
to stay active because that is one of the most important things we can do to stay healthy…and if you are healthy you
can participate in all of the fun things that life has to offer! I think one of the reason I rarely get sick is because
I am active.
Mr.
Hanson -
· Enhances general well being
· Improves physical/psychological health
· Assists weight control
· Helps maintain balance, coordination, agility
· Reduces tension, fatigue and provides extra energy
· I SLEEP BETTER
· So you fight of illnesses and certain diseases
What do you like to do to stay active?
Mrs. Brockman -
I try to walk with
my husband most evenings…sometimes it means we are walking pretty late in the dark!
In the winter I love
to go snowshoeing and we go to almost all of the Husky basketball games…that gives my heart a great workout twice a
week from November to April!
Mr.
Hanson -
-
Walk when I go golfing. (Try not
to get a cart.)
-
Play basketball in two men’s
leagues each week.
-
Try and do all that my kids (ages
3 and 4) do when we go to a park with a big toy.
-
Growing up in Lake Chelan made me love to swim (in the summer)'
-
Like to hike
and just run or walk out in nature. Anything outside.
